The Map Editor inside Lux Delux 6.1 and Castle Vox 1.11 has been updated so that it's easy to make your own custom Hex maps.

Use the new "Create Hex Field" commands under the EditorTools menu inside the Map Editor. It will fill the map with a grid of hex countries. You can then carve away cool patterns. Making your own map has never been easier!

Grab the latest versions of Lux and Vox, and enjoy!

There's online multi-player support for both daily-turns games and fast lux-style games. The Hard AI provides a good challenge, and more is in the works.

Sillysoft's upcoming game Castle Vox has hit beta! Vox uses an entirely new game mechanic for fast and fun world domination: Diplomacy meets Axis and Allies.

Lux DLX invades the iPhone app store

Sillysoft is excited to announce that Lux DLX is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Lux DLX is a version of the Lux world domination game designed for Apple's popular mobile platform. The game features a multi-touch interface, challenging AI, numerous settings, over 75 maps, and the ability to save your game between launches or phone calls.

Roman Battles Lux expansion pack and more

Roman Battles Lux is a new expansion pack for Lux Delux with 10 maps of Ancient Roman conflicts. Screenshots and purchase info are at:

The Lux SDK now includes more map generator source code examples along with the AIs. Java programmers should take a look at:

Biohazard is the latest map generator to be released for Lux Delux. It takes the Classic or Deux maps and randomly nukes out some countries to create a new map for each game. It's available now in the plugin manager for registered users. It won't run on Mac OS X 10.3 computers unfortunately, unless you join a network game hosting it. Take note that Biohazard is this week's online Map of the Week.

If you have any maps installed from a long time ago check the plugin manager for updated versions. All the oldest maps have been updated with starting scenarios and cleaned up bonus screens where needed.

Lux Delux 5.6 update

Lux Delux has been updated to version 5.6. This version comes with more mod keys (see below), network game improvements, new preferences, and a new default map U.S.A. War Zone. This is a free update for registered Delux users, alongside an updated demo.

5.6 changes in detail:
Hold down one of the 2-9 keys and click countries while placing armies to divide your group into 2-9 equal groups.

There are new settings in the Preferences window.

The map editor has a new mode to draw shapes, including circles, ovals, and hexes. It also has better edit shapes mode and Undo.
