After 27 years of battle the Athenians, deprived of their naval supremacy with the destruction of the entire force, surrender and was reduced to a state of near-complete subjection, while Sparta was established as the leading power of Greece. The economic costs of the war were felt all across Greece; poverty became widespread in the Peloponnese, while Athens found itself completely devastated, and never regained its pre-war prosperity. The war also wrought subtler changes to Greek society; the conflict between Democratic Athens and oligarchic Sparta, each of which supported friendly political factions within other states, made civil war a common occurrence in the Greek world. The Peloponnesian War marked the dramatic end to the fifth-century-B.C. golden age of Greece.

The first Lux-Mart only offered a random map generator and single player action, but soon expanded to offer a larger map selection as well as online play. Sacks was able to offer raw at a slightly discounted price, allowing everyone to Lux better, while at the same time pushing out his competitors. The cheap raw and abundance of maps soon made Lux-Mart a Mecca for strategy enthusiasts from across the world. As profits grew, Walton opened Lux-Marts at key points around the state so as to better corner the raw market. Now he is in a position to takeover the entire state! Using his state of the art private satellite network, Sacks has coordinated a bold initiative to inspire the low-paid managers of the Lux-Marts. Whoever can achieve the highest raw sales by the end of the quarter will get their picture hung up in the hallway! You are one of the managers, and it's time to prove yourself!
The Union army moves quickly to seize the federal arsenal in St. Louis at the same time that the Missouri State Militia is doing maneuvers in the area. The Upper faction of the tribe, led by Chief Blunt, wants closer relations with the mysterious newcomers. The lower faction, led by Chief Hancock, is bearing the brunt of European encroachment and wants to fight back.
There is considerable debate about whether Cro-Magnon people accelerated the demise of the Neanderthals. Timing suggests a causal relation between the appearance of Homo Sapiens Sapiens in Europe and the decline of Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis.

It is very possible, that they competed by the natural resources available by means of bloody confrontations. In this case, it is the more long war of history, since the Neandertales finished being extinguished 15.000 years later.
The positions held by the Axis forces blocked the only clear path to Rome sizeable enough to move an army. The Allies' plan was to knock one of the Axis powers out of the war entirely. Italy was the selected target.

Upon arrival at the Camino massif, the two targets selected for the FSSF were Monte la Difensa and Monte la Remetanea. The first, Difensa, appeared to be virtually impregnable. The dormant volcano provided the German troops with an ideal defensive position. Armed with machine guns and mortars, the German defenders could easily hold off an assault on the ramp-like southern slope which offered the only passable approach to the top. The northern face of the mountain featured almost vertical 200-foot high cliffs. Two previous attempts to take Difensa had been made on the southern slope by the 3rd and 36th US Infantry Divisions. Both attempts had been made with roughly 20,000 men, and both had been repelled with a high casualty rate. The Allies were no closer to taking Difensa.

Six hundred men of the First Special Service Force were assigned a position that thousands of men had failed to take. The FSSF had been in the field only once before, for the Kiska mission, and heavy combat was expected for Difensa. It was to be a trial by fire for the new Force.
As their numbers grew, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints pushed for the formation of their very own State, Deseret. This brought them back into conflict with the US government, who adamantly opposed the Mormon practice of plural marriage and deemed it "un-American and rebellious." The American public was whipped into a frenzy as erroneous reports spread of an open Mormon rebellion. In a hasty move President Buchanan dispatched a large regiment of federal troops to quell the perceived uprising. Now the troops are quickly approaching and the residents of Utah are panicked. Their leader, Brigham Young, has urged his followers to "whip them out" by any means necessary. Meanwhile, the Ute chief Black Hawk has taken this opportunity to feed his starving people. An alliance of Utes, Navajo, and Paiute Indians are steeling cattle and sacking Mormon outposts all over the region. New York, a very powerful province, was given rights to the area by King George III. However, New Hampshire did not listen and issued a series of land grants to native residents in order to encourage further settlement. These residents formed what became known as the "Green Mountain Boys," a paramilitary militia who were fierce in the defense of their homeland and used whatever means necessary to drive off their enemy. New York issued warrants for the arrest of their leader, Ethan Allen, declaring him an outlaw and an enemy of the state. Without the support of New Hampshire, Ethan Allen and his followers began to want a country of their own, free from all. By 1775 the Green Mountain boys had successfully secured most of the region and were situated on the outskirts of Albany when fate came knocking, the American Revolution had begun! Now, the Green Mountain boys are forced to join forces with their New York rivals in order to fight their common enemy, the British. With a large force along Lake Champlain, the redcoats are gearing up for a massive invasion of the belligerent colonies. The only thing in their way is the valiant and determined Green Mountain Boys, who are ready to fight and die for their country. For freedom and unity!
In the wake of this action the Virginia legislator voted to secede from the Union and take up arms against the invading Union army. However, not all Virginians sympathized with the rebel cause. The western mountain counties of Virginia convened at Wheeling and decided to secede from their own state and remain loyal to the union. This has been a disastrous blow to the moral and strategic situation of the newly formed Confederate States of America. The vital railways that link the eastern and western theatres run directly through West Virginia. These railways are essential to moving men and material to the battlefield. George B McClellan has realized this and quickly set out to secure the Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad. His surprise victory at Philippi has given the "Young Napoleon" a strong advantage. But the Rebels aren't giving up so easily. A new confederate general is on the scene, Robert E. Lee, and he's ready to reverse the losses and return West Virginia into the hands of the Confederacy. In no other part of the country was the old adage "Brother vs. Brother" truer than in West Virginia. The struggle has just begun!
Furious, the coalition of Cheese manufacturers put the lactose contingency into effect. A plan that bears striking similarities to the lysine contingency put forth by John Hammond in the late 90s. Basically, the lactose contingency withholds the precious nutrient from the diet of millions of citizens. These citizens, having become so dependent on lactose, turn into mindless zombies willing to do the Cheese makers bidding in exchange for the delicious dairy product. However, the lactose contingency backfired and the citizenry became mad, violently consuming all cheeses, even the stinky ones. As stockpiles dwindle, the populous becomes more enraged and more desperate. Now, Big Cheese has found themselves surrounded by ravenous cheese eaters bent on getting revenge! Will the lactose intolerant inherit the earth?

Wyoming - Cattle Wars

It is the late 1800s, the American frontier is quickly closing and with it, usable land for cattle driving. The large ranchers of Cheyenne are pushing out the small homesteaders that once called the open range their home. After a disastrous winter and severe drought, thousands of cattle were lost. The large ranching outfits began to aggressively appropriate land and control the flow of water. As tensions between the large and small cattle handlers increased, so did rustling (cattle stealing). Enraged, the large ranching companies began to lynch and burn anyone suspected of rustling. But this did not have the desired effect, the small ranchers banded together, ready to fight. In response, the large ranchers hired desperados and gunslingers from Texas to invade Johnson County, the homesteaders' stronghold. The homesteaders quickly fought back and cornered the invasion force at the TA ranch. Now, the situation for both sides is desperate, and the stakes are high. Governor Barber has requested assistance from the US military and the famed Buffalo soldiers. The frontier is burning! It's time to immortalize your name for this, is the Wild West!

John Wilkes Booth has just shot President Lincoln at Ford's Theater in Washington D.C. Jumping from the presidential balcony, he shouts "Sic Semper Tyrannis" before fleeing out a back alleyway to a waiting horse.

In the commotion, Booth escaped capture and made it across the Navy Yard Bridge into Maryland. He received weapons at supplies at Mary Surratt's Tavern before continuing on to the house of Dr. Samuel Mudd. Dr. Mudd sets a broken leg Booth suffered in the leap to the stage and lets the men rest at his home.

Later, they continue south toward Virginia, gaining assistance from Oswell Swann, Samuel Cox and William Lucas along the way.

The union cavalry finally caught up with Booth at Garrett's Farm where he had holed up in the barn.

Now is your chance to rewrite history! Can you gather enough support from the Southern sympathizers to storm back and take Washington? Sic Semper Tyrannis!

The Wars of the Roses (1455–1485) were a series of civil wars fought over the throne of England between adherents of the House of Lancaster and the House of York. Both houses were branches of the Plantagenet royal house, tracing descent from King Edward III.

The name "Wars of the Roses" is not thought to have been used during the time of the wars, but has its origins in the badges associated with the two royal houses, the Red Rose of Lancaster and the White Rose of York. The term itself came into common use only in the nineteenth century, after the publication of Anne of Geierstein by Sir Walter Scott.
